BMW 10W-60 oil is a special synthetic lubricant designed for high-performance BMW M car engines. It is very viscous. It protects the engine’s internal components from the extreme heat of racing.

The 10W rating indicates the oil flows easily when cold. The 60 rating indicates the oil remains strong even when the engine is very hot.

This standard oil is commonly used in sports cars such as the BMW M3, M5, and M6 series.

Do not use this oil in standard BMW engines. Standard engines typically use thinner oils, such as 0W-30 or 5W-30.
Using 10W-60 oil in a standard engine can damage components because it is too viscous.
